Welcome to EG’s Travelogue!
I am a Singapore-based railfan from Malaysia who likes to travel around Singapore, Malaysia, and neighbouring lands, exploring many well-known and lesser-known destinations, and recording each and every detail of my trip.
Unlike many other travel blogs in the cybersphere, my travelogue focusses on the “A to B” part of the journey, that is, the actual experience of travelling from point A to point B. I do provide some write-ups on the destinations concerned in my travelogue, but that would be of a secondary nature.
I have previously written many travelogues on my Facebook Notes. However, due to Facebook’s limited blogging functionalities, and the fact that when you write on Facebook Notes, your audiences are naturally limited to those you personally know, I have decided to move my travelogue to Blogger, where my travel experiences, knowledge, and information can be shared with a wider audience.
In the next few weeks, I will migrate all of my travelogues on Facebook Notes to this site. Do stay tuned!

The ETS Business Class  is a new premium, first-class travel experience  by KTM, Malaysia's national railway operator. Sabah State Railway: Tenom to Tanjung Aru (Kota Kinabalu) by train

Sabah State Railway is a railway system in Sabah. The system runs 134 kilometres between Kota Kinabalu and Tenom and is currently the only railway system in the island of Borneo. Constructed in the late 19th/early 20th century to facilitate the transport of tobacco from the interior to the coast, the line once consisted of three lines (Jesselton - Beaufort, Beaufort - Melalap, Beaufort - Weston) covering a distance of 193 kilometres. Between the '60s and '70s, however, the system was shortened to its present day route between Tanjung Aru and Tenom. The railway line is operated by Sabah State Railway or Jabatan Keretapi Negeri Sabah  (JKNS), a statutory body under the purview of Sabah's Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. Aeroline: Premium, first-class coach from Singapore to Malaysia

The Singapore - Kuala Lumpur coach route is one of the most popular and most competitive routes in the region. On an average weekend, there is a coach departing Singapore for KL (and vice versa) every 15 to 30 minutes. In addition to regular 27- or 30-seater coaches, there also exists a special breed  or niche of premium, first-class coaches that offer amenities such as on-board entertainment system, ( almost )-flat beds, on-board meals, etc. at premium prices.
